How easy are them to use?
One of the areas where Shopify excels is in the simplicity of use.

In fact, it is so simple to use that Shopify users will often learn the basics from trying out the trial feature.

There are more free templates on Volusion than on Shopify—11 in total. However, Shopify offers varieties on each of its free templates which provides users with more options.

While the paid Volusion templates are priced at a standard cost of $180, Shopify templates range from $140 to $180 which makes them the cheaper alternative.
Shopify clearly outdoes Volusion by the number of payment gateways that the platform is compatible with. While Volusion allows 37 payment gateways, Shopify has over 100.

Note that in both Volusion and Shopify, the total number of payment gateways that users can use will vary depending on the location. For example, users in Europe may only use fewer payment gateways than users in the United States.

Volusion provides a better experience which allows users to operate marketing campaigns and use marketing tools through the platform. Shopify, on the other hand, offers more functionality.
How is their customer service?
Let’s start off with Volusion shall we?
It offers 24-hour online support on all its plans. However, the phone support is only accessible with the $35 plan and up. Shopify phone support is accessible on their $29 monthly plan and up.
The fact that the Volusion interface isn’t as simple and straightforward to use means that users will need the phone support.
Shopify also offers LiveChat feature and email, something that is also available on Volusion.
